MIL-W-22759 Military cable

Application and Description

Single core US Military Standard MIL-W-22759/1 cables insulated with extruded polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), extruded fluorinated ethylene propylene copolymer (FEP), and glass braid are used in the military and aerospace, naval, and electronics industries. The cables can operate in extremely harsh environments and are abrasion, vibration and fire resistant.


Conductor: Silver plated copper

Insulation: Extruded Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), Extruded Fluorinated Ethylene-Propylene Copolymer (FEP), Braided Glass Filament
Insulation thickness: 54 mil (1.4 mm) to 125 mil (3.2 mm)


Rated voltage: 600 volts AC.

Rated Operating Temperature: -60°C to +200°C (silver-plated copper wire conductor), -60°C to +250°C (nickel-plated copper wire conductor).

Insulation Thickness: 0.01 inch (0.254mm), this is a medium wall thickness insulation.

Colours: Black, Brown, Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple, Grey, White, two-colour stripe or other colours as specified by the customer.
